_____ FEATURED ARTICLE _____________________
Unequivocally the Fastest and Easiest
Way to Make a Quick Buck!
Now, I know what you're thinking...
This is another one of those sleazy, scam-like articles.
Hold onto your britches. Don't blow out the peace pipe yet.
This is nothing like that. In fact, I'd wager you wouldn't even
be close to this article's topic no matter how many guesses you
made.
With that said, I really do know the easiest and fastest way to
make a quick buck.
Really I do! The concept is simple and practically fail-proof.
And, the craziest thing is that you may have already made
money, knowingly or unknowingly, using this method. Now, I'm
going to share this mind-boggling method with you step-by-step
below.
Take out your pencil and notepad. Ready? Here we go...
Step 1)
Go to any store (not a virtual store - must be a
brick-and-mortar store) with a $5 bill in your wallet.
Step 2)
Buy an item between $2 and $5 dollars (make sure it will ring up
an uneven amount). For purposes of this article, let's say you
purchase a sandwich for a total of $2.70.
Step 3)
Give the clerk your $5 bill.
Step 4)
Make an impulse buy of gum ($.40). The clerk adds this to the
sale in the register. He/she already has your $5 bill, and your
total is now $3.10.
Step 5)
Give the clerk another $.10.
Step 6)
Although you should receive $2.00 in change, you are almost
guaranteed the confused clerk will give you $3.00.
See? You just made a quick buck! Works every time.
Now, let's get serious here. Certainly, you must understand
that I'm not suggesting you actually keep this money. It's not
yours to keep. However, admittedly, Dave likes to play this
little game just for his amusement. Although tempting to keep
the money (I mean, giving the money back would just confuse the
poor clerk even more!), Dave returns it.
So, why in the world would I be sharing such a silly concept?
Just this...
John Taylor Gatto coined the phrase "Dumbing us Down." Much has
been said about how we are becoming a world of non-thinkers.
But, let me bring this closer to you and myself.
As small business owners, we have become complacent with knowing
there are people out there who can solve our problems. We hire
accountants to take care of our finances, tax specialists who
only need our signature for filing, web designers who can give
us ready-made websites, and marketing experts who can do
miracles for us.
In short, when budgets are tight, we've worked ourselves right
out of our own businesses. We're losing the art and science of
running our own businesses with knowledge.
Does this mean you shouldn't hire help? Certainly not!
However, you are in charge of your own business and every aspect
of it. While you may hire people to help you, or you may
outsource some of your work, or you may purchase software to
make your life easier, you are still ultimately responsible.
What does this mean?
Simply put, it means you need to learn and understand
accounting. You need to learn HTML for building your web pages.
You need to learn marketing to build your business. And, yes,
you even need to learn about what business tax deductions are
available to you as a small, home-based business owner.
You need to empower yourself!
While you may have software or professionals that can save you
time with these things, you need to understand enough to make
the final decisions, to catch errors, to tweak for greater
outcome.
Some examples...
Internet marketing expert Corey Rudl has hired copywriters to
write sales letters for him or to look over his own work. It
saves him time. But, he knows how to copy write, and well at
that. He knows whether or not the work he receives needs
tweaking. Home-based online expert Terry Dean hires out some of
his web design. Nevertheless, he knows HTML and can change or
add things on his websites as needed. Most accountants don't
understand all the tax credits to which home-based business
owners are entitled. You may need to educate them. Not only
this, but popular tax software may miss some of those credits.
You'll need to eyeball the figures and know what you can do to
improve your tax base.
Are you ready to take control of your own business? If not,
like the poor clerk, you might just find yourself short a buck
or two.
