_____ DAVE'S AND HEIDI'S RAMBLINGS _________

A warm welcome from Heidi and Dave to our new subscribers.

Friends and Readers of HomeBizBytes,

Long ramblings today. You'll want to read through them as
there's an announcement and and added benefit for YOU!

Dave and I have been discussing lately how truly grateful we are
to have YOU as part of our lives each week, some of you even
more frequently. Please don't take this lightly. You are
important to us. We are genuinely interested in your successes
and failures, your trials and triumphs.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that we think of you
often...as colleagues...and as friends.

Okay, enough of the sap. Let's go on.

Some of you may recall some issues ago we presented the dilemma
of paid advertising in HomeBizBytes. We asked your opinion -
yes or no - as to whether we should continue accepting paid
advertising.

While we expected a pretty good mix of responses, Dave and I
were quite surprised to find an overwhelming 88% of you wanted
us to continue paid advertising. Folks, that's a figure that
simply can't be ignored.

Soooo...

We will continue paid advertising, and we will continue to make
it affordable to those of you who use it. But, the current ad
rates are ridiculously low. We are constantly booked weeks in
advance for our ads. In fact, our current Sponsor ad position
is booked through September 18th. And, we continually have
repeat advertisers. No doubt about it, the ads work!

It would seem the great majority of you agree it's time to raise
ad prices in HomeBizBytes. Since our purpose has always been to
offer affordable advertising to our subscribers, it won't be a
huge jump, but the prices will go up...TONIGHT!

Now, Dave and I realize some of you have contemplated
advertising in HomeBizBytes; so, for a limited time, we're going
to keep the same low price ONLY for our subscribers. We want
you to have the chance to have an ad or two. This may seem
crazy, but here's what we're going to do...

Starting tonight, this is the ad info with new rates the rest of
the world will see:
http://www.HomeBusinessOnline.com/ezine/hbb/adinfo.html

However, as a subscriber, if you want the old, low rates, this
is where you need to go:
http://www.HomeBusinessOnline.com/subscriberspecial/adinfo.html

We will keep the special page up until ad spots are filled
through December. Once ad spots are filled through the end of
the year, the page comes down. Even if the ad spots are filled
by next week, there will be no exceptions! Okay?

Oh, by the way, please do not share the special page with
others. This is not something we want to advertise. It is for
subscribers' eyes only.

_____ BONUS FOR SUBSCRIBERS ________________

SPECIAL BONUS FOR OUR SUBSCRIBERS - FREE!...

We told you last week about Troy McDonald's new, free list
building co-op. Dave and I are more impressed each day with how
effective this tool is at building a targeted subscriber base.

The best part of all is that it's automatic. Takes only 5
minutes to set up. And, once you put it in motion, you never
lift a finger again. "Set it and forget it."

So, what's the special bonus for you?

After negotiating with Troy, he agreed to give each of our
subscribers 200 credits when they sign up. That means your
listing and subscriber box will begin showing up on hundreds of
websites so that you can begin getting subscribers right off the
bat. YES, 200 CREDITS - FREE!

However, he said the only way to receive them is by following
the below instructions. Here's what Troy told us (quoting
him)...

  1. They will have to join free through your unique URL, log
into your account and retrieve it.
     http://www.subscriptionrocket.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi?r=179
  2. They will have to confirm their account.
  3. They will have to activate their account by placing their
     unique HTML on their site.
  4. After the above three things are done, they are to send an
e-mail to me, Troy, at support@SubscriptionRocket.com and
     include:
     - their user name
     - and the words "200 HomeBusinessOnline Bonus".
Remind them to follow steps 1-3 or the system won't allow me
  to add the credits.

There you have it. All FREE! That's all you have to do to
claim your 200 bonus credits.

If you have any trouble at all, let us know and we'll personally
contact Troy for you. Okay?

Be sure to use this unique URL or you won't receive your 200
bonus credits:
http://www.subscriptionrocket.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi?r=179

Here's to building your list and getting plenty of new sales!

Peace and Quiet Isn't All It's Cracked Up To Be

Dave has been teasing me mercilessly lately. It really is
upsetting, laughing at my expense.

You see, I learned a hard lesson a few weeks ago when I had
reached my wits end. Looming business deadlines, a book to
write, children everywhere! I was ready to scream. Actually,
maybe I did.

"If I could only have a few days of complete peace and quiet," I
thought, "with no phones, no children..." Well, maybe you can
fill in the rest of the blanks.

Dave, being the great guy that he is, packed up all four
children, along with sleeping bags, camping gear, and a
food-filled cooler. His parting words were, "Three days of
peace and quiet to get everything you want accomplished. Have a
great time!"

Now that I look back on it, I think those parting words were
some kind of jinx. This was the first time in all our years of
marriage that I had been left alone in our home for more than an
hour or two. I thought I would be ecstatic. But, the minute
they got in the car, I began to doubt whether this was really
what I wanted, or even needed. For heaven's sakes, they hadn't
even left the driveway yet, and I was already homesick for them.

To top it all off, I became sick the following morning. Deathly
sick. Had-to-stay-in-bed sick. An entire day wasted! Down the
drain.

Know what? That wasn't the worst of it. When left alone with
my thoughts and thinking of Dave and the children, I found it
hard to focus and to keep on task. "Come on, Heidi," I
panicked, "The clock is ticking. Don't waste away this valuable
time."

Okay, let's fast-forward this disaster.

When all was said and done, yes, I did get a few extra things
accomplished. I worked a bit on our book, I made some business
contacts on my list, oh, and I changed the sheets on our bed.
Aren't you impressed?

Well, neither was I. To be perfectly honest with you, I hadn't
accomplished that much more than I normally accomplish with all
the noise and distractions I normally encounter on a daily
basis. I was expecting my work outcome to have tripled, at
least doubled. That simply didn't happen.

Tail between legs...

What did I learn? Time management is an important skill to
learn. But, don't think that being handed more "work" time on a
silver platter will help you tame the time management lion.
Time management is something you incorporate into ALL facets of
your life and surroundings. It is not something external that
you can turn on and off. It is acquired, internalized and
seasoned with effort, and over time.

Oh, and one more lesson learned...Peace and quiet isn't all it's
cracked up to be.
