I saw this news story about Russians hiring private jets to take Instagram pics :D

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10 ... ifestyles/

Seems funny, but we do seem to have a fascination with private jets being connected to wealth and luxury. just wondering who of you has actually flown in one?

I remember a story about that actor Lil Bow Wow taking some stock photo of a private jet and posting it on his Instagram :/

I can't believe anyone would actually pay money just to sit in one :( Save your money for the real thing if you insist! I have flown in one... but this was maybe 10 years ago, so I would imagine private jets are a lot better these days.

Ah, still though, that's pretty awesome to have flown in one! Are they as fancy as made out to be? I assume it was a business trip?

I've flown in private jets. Interesting experience, but no better than business class on most commercial flights. Then again, I'm not into ego stroking. :)

Well, again, this was like 10 years ago so it wasn't crazily plush, but it was certainly better than flying in economy! I was flown over to Paris for a conference, but it might be possible to use another one someday. Sometimes you get lucky and an investor wants to fly you over for an important meeting :P

Yeah, I should think the private jet industry has changed A LOT since 10 years ago... I'm guessing way fancier now. I also see more of a focus on a sort of 'instant' booking process via apps. It seems as if ordering a taxi via an app should be the same as ordering a private jet. This is the first company that springs to mind that's taking part in this quick booking idea: https://www.jetapp.co.uk/. But in general, it seems as if Millenials too, are living the private jet life, not just the baby boomer generation! I wonder what the industry will look like in another 10 years :D

It's good to see the industry changing. But private jets will always be popular, no matter the age.

You do realise that Baby Boomers are now all past retirement age? (1943 to 1954)

You may be mistaking them for Generation Jones (1955-1966) and Generation X (1967-1978).
