I would recommend either Aweber or GetResponse.

While there are many other options, I like these two
for several reasons.

They are both inexpensive and very helpful (i.e. you
can always get support when you need it).

But here's a big reason that I like both of these companies.
It's one that most people don't consider, but here it is.

They both have reputations for actually getting the email delivered!

Many times, marketers send out great emails with everything
done well: They have attention-getting headlines, they have
great email templates, they offer great content, and they
recommend great products.

But their mailing campaigns still fail, because a great deal
of the email ends up in the spam folder or junk mail folder
of their subscribers.

Aweber and GetResponse both have great relationships with
the Internet Service Providers (ISPs), so they know what
the ISPs are looking for and direct their clients to conduct
their business in ways that are compliant with what the ISPs
want.

This leads to higher rates of emails being delivered, more of
the emails being read, more satisfied subscribers
- and more profits being made.

Again, I like them both, but if I had to choose just one,
it would probably be Aweber. No particular reason, just
a personal preference.

Hakan has already used GetResponse. (WebProsperity is a re-branded version of GetResponse, just like so many "gurus" sell their own white label versions of Aweber and 1ShoppingCart.com.)

I prefer my own system, and steer clear of most of the "name" services after seriously bad experiences of losing lists, hijacking of lists, etc. I'm currently trialling MailChimp as a back-up for one of my lists, but it's a bit too complicated for my liking. I like simple.

Aweber is a market leader so of course It will be hard to poke holes in it but I prefer 12second commute, why? because they are value for money. They offer so much for their fees and they genuinely are there to help. It is very rare that it takes support 24 hours to come back to my help requests...usually it is within 12 hours. That is the kind of people you need to be dealing with to help you grow your list and business, just my two cents.

For more information feel free to pm me about them if you wish,Also they are cheaper than Aweber.

I host my own script, however, I had good success in the past with Aweber. My responses with Getresponse was not as good. Deliverability rate that is.

I completely agree!!

I love Aweber as well because of the deliverability rates but also because it seems to be the most robust feature wise.

I have a website with affiliate capture pages and I have found Aweber was the easiest to integrate. Even if you aren't looking for this kind of feature Aweber certainly offers a lot of flexibility for a fair price.

Cheers
Barry

I personally use Aweber and GVO and I think both are great!
I also tried Mail Chimp but I didn't really enjoy it...

I have to say that I'm finding MailChimp's new incarnation excellent. MUCH easier than the old version.

I have serious reservations about Aweber and GetResponse because of some of their policies and practices, some of which are hidden from most users, but which can SLASH your delivery and open rates when they backfire — as they do!

For professional marketers (as distinct from IM "marketers" who are really just sellers), MailChimp is the true "grown-up" email marketing service, with advanced features and services not offered by either Aweber or GetResponse.

I've used GetResponse before and It was my first autoresponder to be certain. I can say that I had a lot of good experience with it but I've found GVO and everything has changed. It is a lot better for me to use GVO because you pay less money for using two things that you can profit from: Autoresponder and a Host !!! You can have those two things for a little cost and I've decided that It will work best for me to use GVO so... But hey it's my oppinion I don't know if you will agree with me but I think it is working better for me using GVO :) ;)

I prefer GetResponse, I have been using it for a couple of days now. It is very easy to use and has a lot of functionality. The only thing I am not a fan is the monthly price tag but the tool is still good an worth it's months price.

I'm in the process of switching to Drip.com, which includes automation of the follow-up, conversion and fulfilment process.

It's a stripped-down version of some of the bigger online systems, like Marketo and Hubspot and InfusionSoft.

Prices are MUCH lower.

So far I'm impressed. I'll let you know how the trial goes over the next few weeks.
