Can you explain, which are most effective techniques to be followed in 2014 after couple of roll outs by Google?

Only content marketing is effective for a genuine SEO. Earlier link building was dominant but after recent updates content marketing is the best way to promote a website.

I downloaded the guide and had a quick browse through all 17 myths. Hubspot have broken down some of the most common SEO myths that people get confused over.
The guide gives you an outline at how Google is looking to improve the overall experience for the searcher, by providing great, value-packed websites for search queries entered into their search engine. The quality and relevancy of your site's content and backlinks are a huge factor in your organic rankings with Google.
The bottom line is that SEO is a dynamic beast and with Google's ranking algorithm getting smarter and smarter, there really is no escape in the long-term if you're doing black-hat SEO. The best option is for you to build links naturally to your site by providing top-quality, user-engaging content that people will rave about. This way people will naturally link to you and Google will love you for it.

1. meta descriptions really not of matter for SEO but Meta Title is very important
2. more links is not better than more content because in ceratin content you need give one or two link then only the content quality will not go and some content required accrording to the topic.
3. inbound marketing and SEO work together because it earns the attention of customers.
