Last week (January 2015) Google began issuing warning notices to sites that are not mobile compliant.

If your sites are not mobile compliant, it's time to get serious — or risk disappearing from mobile searches!

Have you checked out your website yet to make sure it's mobile friendly?

You have until April 21, 2015 to make sure it is, otherwise you're going to have problems getting found online.

What use is a secret website?

It's time to "bite the bullet"…

Check out your site here (just enter your website URL) and generate a quick answer:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

More information is available here:
http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.ca/2015/02/finding-more-mobile-friendly-search.html

PS: A quick check of most of the major online business directories has shown very few of them to be mobile friendly.
Let’s hope that they're planning to upgrade before the deadline!

Responsive web design means that you don't have individual mobile, tablet, and PC editions of your website, the website adjusts to whatever dimension display it's being shown on. Regardless of what system visitors is using to accessibility to your website, they will see all of the contents you have to offer and they will see it in readable way.
